Since A gave me what I asked for this Xmas, I placed my first order for some beer extract kits. I chose two: Thames Valley Special Bitter and the High Sierra Pale Ale. I ordered from Homebrew.com, since it was recommended to me by a brewer in Atlanta: James T. Rowe at the Rock Bottom Brewery in Buckhead. I decided to go with a couple of kits, seeing that I haven’t brewed in many years, so I could more easily get back into it. Homebrew.com has many malt extract recipes to choose from (as well as other types), but since my favorite ales are ESBs and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, I decided to try a couple like those first. The Honey Wheat Ale and the Belligerent SOB Ale also sound worth trying. I’m glad the site has so many recommendations and recipes; it will make ordering pretty easy until I hone my zymurgy skills again. Thanks again to Sweet A for the excellent gift. I’m psyched.
