With more than a year and a month to spare, Jerry and I have already started meeting with wedding vendors, so we can have our pick before they begin booking up. Over the past two weekends, we’ve met with two videographers, Foley Productions, and Artistic Images, and two photographers, C & C Photography, and Mike Kinsaul, with more to come soon. We interview them as they get a feel for us, and vice versa, with sweet J. asking smart questions that they might not get from the random groom. (No surprise, because he is way more than just any old random one…he’s my groom. Awww.) I think it’s great fun, but I could certainly see how planning a wedding could consume a couple, especially an eager bride. Yikes.
So far we have chosen Foley Productions to video for us, and we have ruled out C & C for photos…who wants to toss out more than half of a generous budget for pictures alone? It’s insane how expensive everything is, but it is nice to know that you can delegate out responsibilities, and have peace in knowing that someone else, even better, a professional, is taking care of it. I guess that makes up for a portion of what you spend…well, as long as that portion is at least somewhat reasonable. Stay tuned for continued wedding coverage.
