due to the wet, wet rain that has been falling all day long. The past three days have been all clouds and gray, and no sunshine and light — my mood is quite affected. I don’t do the gloomy weather – give me cheery sunlight any day. Sooo, after our First Friday plans were dashed, we moved to plan B: Stay warm and dry inside. And, after being soaked repeatedly today, it has been a nice, quiet evening — well, mostly quiet — we do have a guest kitten who is just as vocal as he is cute. Pictures will be posted very soon, I promise, though they are already on Flickr. However, in the absence of Friday night activity, I’ve found a couple of cool things to share. First, I must give props to my absolute favorite music channels, International Music Feed (IMF), and VH1 Classic.
I also love MTV2 with it’s cool Subterranean segment and Rock Countdown, but these other channels rock way more, because that actually play music all the time. Unheard of, huh? I know.
The first is IMF — they spin import videos regularly, from India, Spain, Scotland, England, and more, and even have shows dedicated to Latin American music, and new music features from various parts of the world, targeting a different country/area each time. Sweet?! Heck yes, I say. I’ve found several new favorite songs and bands through IMF, from Scotland’s Dogs Die in Hot Cars to the USA’s very own Ringside. For me IMF = heaven. I only wish I had more time to watch and learn. Oh, and then there’s VH1 Classic, which plays the coolest 70s, 80s, and (some) 90s videos EVER! I so dig seeing John Lennon in motion, and watching Phil Collins break it down on “Easy Lover”. Spencer and I just can’t seem to get enough of these crazy sights and sounds from past decades.
Now, for the more disgusting news, I read something really icky and cool in the local newspaper (my mom always saves articles for me), and I found the corresponding picture and article online. So, check it out, and prepare to be disgusted and amazed!
I want to go the fair!
“I want to go the fair!”
You went last year! Sheesh.
I know what you mean, Chris and I were stuck inside almost all day on Friday….so much for that wonderful pretty tour of the campus I was going to give him.
Oh well! We got to cuddle and snuggle all afternoon, so I am not going to complain.
Definitely not a cause for complaint.
J and I did that too, and it turned out to be lovely — but then, every day is lovely with my honey.
And I went to the fair last night, woo-hoo! It was great, and I’m hoping to hit it one last time before it ends. Big *wink wink* to a certain someone…
