So lately I’ve enjoyed a wonderful span of days off work that have kept me so busy with having fun that I’ve neglected my blog. Sorry, blogy!

December is so full of magic, that it’s hard to even blink or you might miss something…especially when there are birthdays to celebrate in addition to the holidays! My little bro will turn 20 this Friday…crazy! He will officially be an adult. Before he knows it he’ll be nearly mid-20s, old & sage like me And my baby brother is now driving – yes, as in driving a car – on the road! Man. When did we start to grow up, and why so fast?

I missed WR’s Christmas parade due to my injury, which was a sad, sad thing. But, not only am I all better now (yay!), but I am moving right along with the holiday chaos and getting fully in the spirit. This weekend has been pretty perfect. Friday morning brought 5 Main’s Nightshift Christmas Breakfast party which was a blast! We had a party of 21, and Cracker Barrel was wonderful, as always. We took group photos by the massive fireplace, and I can’t wait to see how they turn out. Yesterday I finished up the last of my Christmas shopping, dropped off our photos to be developed so we can finally get those Christmas cards out, completed my grocery store marathon for baking ingredients, and spent some quality time relaxing at home watching movies with sweet hubby. This morning started with a yummy pancake breakfast made by sweet J – with pecans & chocolate chips, yummy! I went to the Christmas musical with my family, out to lunch for a mexican feast with friends & family, then came home and made a cup of hot apple cider, cranked up some carols, and put the final touches on our beautiful Christmas tree this afternoon. Tonight I baked Chocolate Lava Muffins and now am relaxing on the couch watching Christmas movies. I really couldn’t ask for much more…happy sigh.
