We had a blast last night – a scrumptious (one last unhealthy) dinner & then party time with friends! And some quality time together
And, today – the first day of the year – was a good one. Slept in, stayed in PJs all morning watching a marathon of House with my honey, ate a healthy lunch, took a power walk around the neighborhood, and changed into fresh PJs to watch more house and enjoy a healthy dinner. Success
Now, on to the rest of my resolutions…
4. Get busy with some home improvement projects! Our old house is much loved, but it could benefit from some extra TLC. Some ideas are painting and finding hardware for the big sliding doors, repairing the fascia-thing in our roof, adding some extra electrical outlets, and some little cosmetic touch-ups here & there. Maintenance, I guess you could call it…and then some extra pretty on top.
5. Figure out what I am going to do – furthering my degree vs. travel nursing, or both – and get started. Both excellent options, and both things I want to do. I just need to think of the logistics – when, how much, how far, & where. Either way, I am in a prime position to get moving…and I am not getting any younger. I am old enough to know that much.
6. Stick to my resolutions…because they’re worth it. Is it cheating to add this one? I think not.
Happy 2009! And, thanks for reading…feel free to comment & share some of your own!
