Wow, got a little behind on my blogging here but that’s only thanks to staying busy in a good way. School is going well, work is still a lot of work, but I am thankful for having a good job, and Jerry & I have been on the move! We’ve just returned from enjoying a [...]

Now that school is back in full swing, I find myself daydreaming of my recent week of freedom. The pool is always so serene and inviting, especially during this extra hot summer we’ve been enduring. Bliss.

Due to work, I’ve missed the past few family gatherings held at my aunt & uncle’s awesome lake house, so I decided weeks ago that I wanted to venture north for a lazy lake day of my own, first chance I got. That chance came this week, with my freedom from both work and school. [...]

On Monday, the 9th of August, my Granny turned 95. We celebrated a day early, with cake, other sweet treats, and lots of family. She is an amazing woman, and is as graceful and gentle as they come. I love you, Granny, and happy birthday. Many more to come! <3

all two weeks of it! Yes, summer semester is over as of tonight’s Biology final (whoo!) and yes, it nearly ran right into fall semester. However, I plan to squeeze plenty of relaxation & pool time into the few days I have. Best of all, I am taking a week off work to enjoy my [...]
June 17, 2010 in Environment, Weather
I think this is the hottest June of my life. It is not unusual to have scorcher days in July & August, but this is becoming the new norm. Everyday holds a heat index of 100-plus-degrees, and the summer has really just begun! Already, a good family friend of mine who works outdoors has been [...]

I truly baffles me that we cannot band together as Americans and bring change to our scandalously broken health care system, namely from the health insurance aspect. I am covered by not one, but TWO insurance companies, and neither one will pay for my routine physician visit from last fall. Seriously? I swear the only [...]
